Statistics of players with Hawaii ties in professional baseball through Friday’s games. Players who are on the injured or suspended list and whose stats have not changed since last week are not listed.:
>> Milwaukee second baseman Kolten Wong was placed on the injured list for the third time this season on Friday. Wong missed four games due to a calf injury, but aggravated the injury upon returning on Thursday. Brewers manager Craig Counsell expects Wong to be ready after the All-Star break, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
>> The Los Angeles Angels optioned Kean Wong to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, three days after he was called up. Wong had one at-bat in that span.
>> Pittsburgh outfielder Ka’ai Tom was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a lower back strain on Saturday. On Wednesday, Tom broke up German Marquez’s bid for a no-hitter with a single in the ninth inning of the Pirates’ 8-0 loss to Colorado.
>> Outfielder Breland Almadova was signed and activated by the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League on Saturday and went 1-for-3 with a walk in his debut with the team.
