Hawaii’s Seth Moniz saw his rally come up just short in the Round of 32 at the Corona Open in Mexico on Saturday, losing 13.33-11.17 to Brazil’s Jadson Andre.
Moniz scored a 4.50 on his third wave and 6.67 on his fourth attempt. He caught two more waves, but they didn’t add up to Andre’s total on his first two.

Moniz scored a total of 15.37 to beat Matthew McGillivray of South Africa (11.87) and Australia’s Connor O’Leary (8.67).
