Idaho Falls beat Honolulu 6-1 in the championship game of the American Legion World Series on Wednesday at Keeter Stadium in Shelby, N.C.

Micah Zeller hit a two-out RBI single in the sixth inning for Honolulu’s only run.

Honolulu drew three consecutive walks to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning but couldn’t score.

Honolulu finished its season 34-2. The championship game was played Wednesday instead of Tuesday because of bad weather.

Hawaii Kai Elite game postponed

All games Wednesday in the 13-under Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown, N.Y., were postponed due to rain.

Hawaii Kai Elite’s final pool play game is today at 1 p.m. Hawaii time.

The quarterfinals and semifinals will be played Friday with the championship game Saturday, weather permitting.
