The Honolulu Printmakers continues an 89-year tradition with the sale of a limited-edition gift print by an acclaimed local printmaker. This year, that artist is Pratisha Budhiraja, and if you buy early, you’ll get a pleasant surprise.
Every year since 1933, the Printmakers have commissioned a new print to be sold as a fundraiser. Budhiraja’s limited-edition work is priced at $100 ($75 for members) until the Printmakers’ 2022 Annual Exhibition on Oct. 7, but the sale will be sight-unseen. You’ll be able to see the print on Oct. 7, when the price will increase to $125. A total of 50 prints will be available.

She has received awards in national and local juried shows, most recently the Award for Excellence from the Left Wing Right Brain fund of the Hawai‘i Community Foundation, and was an artist-in-residence at a studio in Massachusetts in 2014. Her work has been exhibited at the Honolulu Museum of Art, Bishop Museum and is in the collection of the Hawaii State Foundation for Culture and the Arts.
