Ever since year-round school became a public-school standard throughout the state, school-supply shopping has been a summer phenomenon. As part of its national campaign, Hawaii’s Salvation Army already is beating the drum for donations to help fill those keiki school backpacks.
There are specific events, such as “Cram the Van” 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 15 at Windward Mall, but there are online and team-building opportunities, too, and a list of drop-off locations statewide (see 808ne.ws/schoolsupplies).
