While the University of Hawaii football team has a lot of problems (2-6 record) that need fixing, I think it really should address improving quarterback performance. Don’t get me wrong. It is not quarterback Brayden Schager’s fault. He is averaging 261 yards passing per game, so that is good.
However, this team needs a great run-and-shoot performance if they are to win because they lack other things.
I think the Athletic Department should put politics aside and head coach Timmy Chang should ask proven run-and-shoot guru June Jones and/or Nick Rolovich to come for a week to work with Schager or provide whatever help they can give. What could be better than Timmy’s mentor mentoring Schager?
If you saw how unheralded New Mexico thoroughly dominated UH, you would realize desperate times require desperate measures.
