Hawaii legislature aims to alter affordable-housing program, possibly at expense of counties

                                The Central Ala Moana was developed under a state affordable-housing program that provided the tower’s developer density and height bonuses plus about $13 million in fee waivers in return for making 60% of the 512 units affordable to moderate-income households. The tower opened in 2021.
