State Circuit Court rules in favor of Native Hawaiian midwives

                                Plaintiffs spoke at a preliminary hearing in June for an injunction of the Midwifery Restriction Law, which went into effect in 2023, at 1st Circuit Court of Hawaii. Supporters and plaintiffs held hands June 10 for a pule, or prayer, after the preliminary hearing outside of the courthouse. The state ruled in favor of the midwives Monday.
