Given today’s cashless society, a new city change regarding property tax payments, effective July 1, might apply to just a very small percentage of residents — but it’s still worth noting.
Effective Wednesday, satellite city halls across Oahu will no longer accept cash payments for real property taxes; instead, payments must be paid by check, credit card or debit card. Going forward, only the cashier’s office at City Hall’s ground floor will accept cash. To all Luddite creatures of habit, you have been warned.
