I recall as a kid we used to use the mnemonic “HOMES” to remember the names of the Great Lakes. Unfortunately with Donald Trump’s executive order changing Lake Ontario’s name to Lake of America, that memory tool no longer works. Changing the ‘O’ to ‘A’ forces us to look for a new mnemonic and only one springs to mind — SHAME — which not only fills the bill, but also appropriately encapsulates how most Americans feel about this corrupt and petty president’s unhinged behavior.
