While Hawaii can always expect the wrath of Mother Nature, it will never be prepared for the onslaught of high school graduates who aren’t tested but are still passed along.
Several countries have already started blocking younger teens from social media; Hawaii is too late on that front.
I have written letters in the past about stopping the use of cellphones at middle and high schools, but as usual Hawaii puts everything later. I came across an article in The Epoch Times reminding us how dangerous it is for young minds to become so fully wrapped around technology. It also mentioned in another article that some schools are restoring the SAT and the ACT because too many students entering college are unprepared or underprepared.
Remember when one-term Gov. Neil Abercrombie promised a laptop for every student and the more-destructive termination of teaching cursive writing?
