>> Kohl Levao, Jets offensive lineman: Made his NFL debut in the loss to the Bears, playing in a regular season game for the first time after two years on the practice squad. He is the 95th Rainbow Warrior to reach the highest level.
>> Rigoberto Sanchez, Colts punter: Booted the ball four times for an average of 53.3 yards with three of them inside the 20-yard line. He handled kickoffs for the second straight week, unleashing six for an average starting position at the 27-yard line, and served as holder for Spencer Shrader’s three field goals and three extra points.
>> Jahlani Tavai, Jaguars linebacker: Came off the bench in the win over the Bengals but didn’t have a tackle, the first time since 2022 he walked off the field without making a stop. He had played 66 straight NFL games with at least one tackle.
HAWAII PREP
>> Dean Connors, Rams running back: Made his first career tackle on punt coverage in the third quarter of the win over the Eagles, his second straight game making an impact on special teams. He is replacing Ronnie Rivers, who is scheduled to come off injured reserve in two weeks, which will force the Rams to decide whether to keep Connors or expose him to waivers.
KAHUKU
>> Alohi Gilman, Chiefs safety: Started in the win over the Raiders, making tackles on three straight plays in the second quarter. He has played every snap on defense for the unbeaten Chiefs.
KAMEHAMEHA-MAUI

PUNAHOU
>> DeForest Buckner, Colts defensive tackle: Started and got to the quarterback three times in the win over the Commanders but didn’t have a sack. He finished with four tackles, chasing Marcus Mariota 35 yards downfield on one of them, and batted down a pass. Buckner has now beaten 28 different NFL teams, the only franchises he is winless against are the Falcons, Cowboys, Colts and Eagles.
>> Ka’imi Fairbairn, Texans kicker: Drilled all three of his field goals, from 51, 39 and 54 yards, in the loss to the Cowboys, adding three extra points. He also handled kickoffs, putting one of his six into the end zone for a touchback but the ones that did get returned gave Dallas an average starting position at the 32-yard line. He has hit 74% of his field goals from 50 yards or longer in his career.
SAINT LOUIS
>> Nick Herbig, Steelers linebacker: Remained in the starting lineup for Thursday’s loss to the Browns, making two tackles on running plays. Once an elite edge rusher, his role has changed since signing a big contract in the offseason. He played only 28 defensive snaps against Cleveland and has dropped back into coverage 20 times in the first month. He was in coverage only 54 times all last season.
>> Marcus Mariota, Commanders quarterback: Completed three of four passes for 46 yards and ran for 35 yards on a scramble in the loss to the Colts before injuring his knee on a sack by Adetomiwa Adebawore. He was able to walk to the locker room on his own to get diagnosed for an sprained MCL on the same knee he hurt during preseason.
>> Jonah Savaiinaea, Dolphins offensive lineman: Made his usual start at right guard in the loss to the Vikings, helping new running back Ollie Gordon rush for 100 yards on nine carries. But his quarterback was sacked twice and completed only nine passes on 17 attempts. He has not committed a penalty since his rookie season.
>> Tua Tagovailoa, Falcons quarterback: Is expected to be suited up and serve as backup to Michael Penix today against the Saints. He is 3-2 in his career on Monday nights. Tagovailoa hasn’t come off the bench in a game since 2021 when he was behind Jacoby Brissett because of a broken finger and beat the Ravens. He is 2-0 in his career coming off the bench.
>> Roman Wilson, Steelers receiver: Broke out in Thursday’s loss to the Browns, scoring the first touchdown and earning the team’s highest grade on Pro Football Focus. He caught three of his six targets for 74 yards and drew two penalties before leaving the contest with an injury. He returned for the final Hail Mary and was targeted, but quarterback Aaron Rodgers was picked off. His four receiving touchdowns are the most by a player who attended Saint Louis School, twice as many as Herman Wedemeyer and fellow Steeler Chris Fuamatu-Maafala.
