>> Kealii Ah Yat (Kamehameha), Montana: Threw for 346 yards and five touchdowns in a 36-14 win over Northern Colorado, tying Grady Bennett for fifth on the school’s career list with 55 touchdown passes and taking the top spot in completion percentage at 67%.
>> Koa Akui (Hilo), Rice: Had five tackles for the fourth straight game in a 16-14 loss to Texas-San Antonio, breaking up a pass and recovering a fumble. He is fourth on the team in tackles after being second in stops last year for Sacramento State.
>> Charles Correa (Saint Louis), Purdue: Picked up his first sack of the season in a 24-17 win over Illinois, one of seven tackles in the game. He combined with a teammate to drop the quarterback on third-and-11 in the fourth quarter. He served as a captain in his first year in the program.
>> Kamaehu Kopa-Kaawalauole (Campbell), San Jose State: Caught the first touchdown pass of his career in a 20-16 win over Hawaii, beating Matagi Thompson (Punahou) to the ball from 10 yards out in the second quarter. It was just the third catch of his four-year career.
>> Liona Lefau (Kahuku), Colorado: Made six tackles and broke up a pass in a 29-7 loss to Texas Tech. He leads the team with 16 assisted tackles but is still looking for his first sack.
>> Losini Maka (Kahuku), Central Michigan: Started on the offensive line and paved the way for 332 rushing yards with four touchdowns and not allowing a sack in a 41-17 win over Akron. It was the second time this season the Chippewas have rushed for 300 or more yards in a game this season.
>> Shaun Niu (Kahuku), Utah Tech: Earned the first sack of his career in a 46-33 loss to Southern Utah, converging on the quarterback in the third quarter for one of his seven tackles. Will Alovao (Kapolei) was whistled for targeting on the play and Moe Passi (Kamehameha) had a season-high eight tackles.
>> Taimane Purcell (Kamehameha), California: Was honored with the ACC Rookie of the Week award for his effort in a 39-31 loss to UNLV. He hooked up with Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele (Campbell) for a 91-yard touchdown, the second-longest in program history, finishing with three catches for 102 yards. He had three catches for 23 yards in three games before breaking out. Aiden Manutai (Kahuku) contributed five tackles for the first time this season.
>> Chevy Robinson (Mililani), Weber State: Registered six tackles in a 42-34 win over Cal Poly; he had only five stops in his previous four contests.
>> Madden Soliai (Kahuku), Boise State: Made a season high seven tackles with a sack in a 37-18 win over Utah State. The freshman has increased his tackle numbers in four straight games.
>> Malaki Te’o (Kahuku), Northern Arizona: Upped his career high with seven tackles in a 38-31 win over Idaho State. He had only 10 stops in four games before his breakout.
DIVISION I VOLLEYBALL
>> Rella Binney (Punahou), Texas: Guided the Longhorns to two victories last week, dishing out 39 assists in a sweep of Mississippi State and 40 in a 3-1 win over Alabama to earn Southeastern Conference setter and player of the week honors for the first time in her career. Texas hit .322 in the two matches including a season-high .438 mark against the Bulldogs.
>> Kala Chock (Kamehameha), Portland: Led the team with 12 kills in a sweep of San Francisco, her fourth match in a row in double figures. Taina Kaauwai (Kamehameha-Hawaii) contributed nine kills, and with stalwart Maui Robins (Kamehameha) sitting out, Callie Pieper (‘Iolani) stepped up with her first seven kills of the season and Ava Lilo (Kamehameha) launched her first three aces.
>> Emma Lilo (Kamehameha), Florida State: Picked up her third double-double of the season with 30 assists and 16 digs in a sweep of North Carolina State. then dished out 31 assists in a sweep of Wake Forest two nights later. She had four kills in the two matches — she only has six in 54 sets this season.
>> Lulu Po’uha (Punahou), Brigham Young: Established a season high with 20 digs in a 3-1 win over Kansas State and followed it up with a season-high nine assists with 14 digs in a sweep of Kansas, just missing her first career double-double.
>> Zaria Queen (Moanalua), Stanford: Had the first dig of her career in a sweep of Virginia Tech, seeing the floor for just the fourth time in her two years with the program.
>> Kekua Richards (Seabury Hall), Colorado State: Put down 11 kills in a 3-2 win over Gonzaga and then had seven with five digs in a 3-2 win over Utah State, her first digs in her past six matches. She had eight blocks in the two matches, running her season total to 91.
>> Marley Roe (Kamehameha), Utah Tech: Had her seventh double-double of the season with 27 assists and 11 digs in the 3-1 win over Northern Colorado, helping her team to its eighth straight victory. Kaleinani Watson (Kamehameha) added 11 digs, the first time this season she has been in double figures in successive matches.
