Local bakeries and sweet shops are getting into the spooky spirit with frightfully delicious creations that are almost too cute to sink your fangs into.
BRUG BAKERY
Brug Bakery’s October specials bring together the best of Halloween and fall flavors. For something savory, the bacon and pumpkin gratin bread is a toasted roll filled with cream sauce and topped with bacon, kabocha, cheese and breadcrumbs. On the sweeter side, the Spooky Sweet Potato Danish is ghostly good flaky pastry topped with custard, purple sweet potato cream and a marshmallow ghost. The haupia custard black cat is filled with creamy coconut custard and decorated with almond ears.
