When it comes to cooling off on a warm Hawaii day, Perfect Day Ice Cream has the perfect treat. Inspired by a family trip to New Zealand, husband-and-wife duo Zach and Emilee Englert brought a taste of New Zealand-style ice cream to the islands, serving up a refreshing twist on the classic frozen treat.
What makes Perfect Day Ice Cream special is the experience. From its open-facing food truck, customers can watch as their favorite fruits are blended directly into an ice cream base, creating a smooth, creamy treat made fresh to order.
The best part? You get to make it your own! Start by choosing a waffle cone or cup, then pick from a variety of fruits, including banana, papaya, strawberry, blueberry, and mango. A must-try is the kookaberry, a colorful combination of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. For an extra fruity kick, add more fruit for just $1.
Next, choose between a vanilla or coconut ice cream base and finish your creation with toppings like dye-free sprinkles, peanut butter drizzle, or waffle cone bits.
Looking for something a little more filling? Perfect Day also serves up acai bowls and specialty creations. The classic acai swirl ($12) combines organic acai, kookaberry fruit, and a coconut base, topped with peanut butter drizzle, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, and waffle cone bits. For a tropical twist, try the Maui sunset ($11.25), featuring coconut-based ice cream blended with strawberries, mango, and pineapple, then finished with lilikoi drizzle and coconut flakes.
Be sure to check its seasonal drink menu as well.
