Columnist Cal Thomas describes the president’s talents as an “annoying personality … narcissistic behavior” and then asks voters to support him in the midterms (“Trump and GOP should be popular, but politics is illogical,” Star-Advertiser, Oct. 20). Why? Because a Democratic victory might end in investigations and impeachment.
I am not sure Mr. Thomas is aware how illogical he can be. A Donald Trump victory will result in more chaos and personal vendettas. Trump has issued pardons to 11 convicted MAGA “Republicans” as well as 1,500 Jan. 6 convicts. He started a personal war with Iran and his current goal is to get back to the status quo that was in place the day before his first attack.
This midterm election is the first time that Trump has asked you to do the right thing. He wants us to vote as if his name is on the ballot. Please do so and show Mr. Thomas that sometimes logic does prevail.
