Suspect, 36, arrested after 3 women stabbed at Nanakuli beach

Honolulu police arrested a 36-year-old woman for suspicion of first-degree attempted murder after three women were stabbed at Zablan Beach in Nanakuli this afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at about 1:24 p.m. to find three victims, according to a Honolulu Police Department summary of the incident. Two women, ages 22 and 32, suffered multiple stab wounds, and a third woman, 22, had been stabbed once, police said.

The suspect fled, but was quickly found and arrested, according to HPD.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services officials said paramedics responded with multiple units after several women suffered stab wounds and lacerations in an altercation at the beach. EMS treated the three women and took them to an emergency room in serious condition.

EMS said paramedics treated a fourth woman, age 36, at the scene but she declined to be taken to a hospital. It was not immediately known if the fourth woman was also the 36-year-old suspect.

HPD urges anyone with information concerning the incident to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at 808-955-8300.
