HPD unveils crowd-control units for APEC

Police officers wore aloha wear for uniforms and HPD patches on their arms Oct. 15 as they monitored protesters from the Occupy Honolulu General Assembly in Waikiki. Officers in this special Civil Affairs Unit are tasked with acting as conduits between protesters and the HPD and other government agencies.
