Athletic trainers helping injured players is common at high school football games. A trainer attended to a Kamehameha player (who did not suffer a concussion or life-threatening injury) on Saturday.

Damien football player Alan Mohika was wheeled into a room at the Queen's Medical Center by teammate Rusty Kauahikaua to greet friends and other teammates Monday. Mokiha suffered a concussion, lost consciousness, had seizures, stopped breathing and had no pulse, according to reports by his mother and coach. He was treated for the concussion and bleeding in the brain.
