Red Dolphin a new breed of water fun

Longtime businessman Bob Norton purchased the failed KanDoo! Island catamaran and turned it into Red Dolphin, a floating oasis off Waikiki that opened earlier this summer. Norton said he spent $300,000 to upgrade the island. Norton visits the upper deck of the 11,000-square-foot vessel.

Adventure-seekers on Red Dolphin can view the seascape 15 feet below the surface with helmets that keep their heads dry. The activity costs an extra $50 after the purchase of a $49 boarding pass.
