IOWA CITY, Iowa » Hawaii wrestler Clarissa Chun qualified for her second Olympics on Sunday.
Chun, a Roosevelt High alumna, is the second women’s freestyle wrestler from Hawaii to earn a spot competing for the United States in the 2012 London Games, which start in July.
Moanalua graduate Stephany Lee made her first Olympic team a day earlier, beating Iris Smith in the 158.5-pound final.
In the 105.5-pound final at the Olympic trials on Sunday, Chun beat Alyssa Lampe with a 4-1 third period.
"I almost gave myself and my coaches a heart attack," the 30-year-old Chun told TheMat.com.
"My coach said, ‘Do you want me in your corner or what? Because you’re not hearing me, you’re not listening to anything I’m saying."
According to TheMat.com, the victory made Chun the U.S.’s first two-time Olympian in women’s freestyle wrestling.
In 2008, Chun won the world title and placed fifth in the Beijing Olympics.
