Hattori, Oda make national public links
Richard Hattori shot an even-par 140, including a first-round 67, to take medalist honors in the U.S. Amateur Public Links qualifier on Saturday at Ala Wai Golf Course.
John Oda finished in second place at 143.
The two golfers will play in the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship, starting July 9 in Midway, Utah.
Ryan Kuroiwa and P.J. Samiere, who were in a group of three tied at 145, are the alternates.
