Four boulders that fell onto Moanalua Freeway near the eastbound Airport/Tripler offramp Thursday evening were moved to the shoulder. A motorist struck a boulder with her car and suffered minor injuries, police said. She was treated at the scene.

The eastbound lanes of Moanalua Freeway near the Tripler exit have reopened after crews cleared four boulders from the road.

Police closed three of the lanes east of the Tripler/Puuloa exit just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, but then opened up one of the lanes after workers moved the boulders off to the shoulder.

All lanes were open by 8:07 p.m.

A police officer estimated the rocks were 2-by-3 feet.

Police said a vehicle in the second lane from the right hit one of the rocks, causing the air bag to deploy. A woman in the car was treated at the scene.
