Queen’s West Oahu site to open May 20
The Queen’s Medical Center-West Oahu campus will open for patients May 20. Queen’s acquired the former Hawaii Medical Center-West campus from St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii on Dec. 14, 2012, a year after the hospital closed.
Services will include an emergency room, inpatient and outpatient surgery, imaging, cardiology and specialty clinics.
The hospital will have 80 beds upon opening and will increase capacity to 135 beds as volume grows.
The imaging center and specialty clinic already have opened and are accepting patients. Both are in the Physician’s Office Building on the West Oahu campus.
