Solomon Enos’ mural “Wa Po‘e, the Time of the People” adorns a wall at the new Wahiawa Transit Center. “I knew the story to tell and how to tell it, but not just me telling — the story belongs to the community,” said Enos, who enlisted the help of other artists to complete the mural.

The “Wa Papa” mural resembles a kapa pattern with a hidden landscape. Its 4-by-4-foot panels were painted by students from Leilehua High School.
