Lanes reopened after crash on H-1 freeway near Radford High School

Honolulu police reopened two ewa-bound lanes and one town-bound lane of the H-1 freeway near the Radford High School pedestrian overpass after a traffic accident.
The accident happened at about 12:30 p.m. and was cleared by 2:30 p.m.
Honolulu traffic cameras showed a car on the ZipperLane barrier and emergency personnel responding.
There was no word yet on injuries.

The first need to learn how to drive when the weather is good.
In some states if you have your wipers on you have to turn your lights on.
Great news! Not looking forward to rush hour traffic this afternoon.
Just f it up for everyone trying to get home. Hope they enjoy the hours spent taking their car to be repaired and not having a car for weeks. Hope they feel the minute they were trying to save was worth it.
It should be a crime with mandatory jail time when someone’s recklessness causes an accident that impedes the flow of normal freeway traffic. No joke.
ad1, the car must be a total wreck. When I passed the scene about 1215pm, the car seemed to be wedged between two posts almost perpendicular to the road. If the engine was still running, it’d take less than a minute for the engine to fail. I couldn’t see body/structural damage, but it must’ve been severe. Strange that it happened at that location. Most drivers know that motorcycle cops canvas that the stretch of road regularly

Wow, had to be going pretty fast to climb the barrier. Slow down people, it’s wet outside.
Lucky it wasn’t 2 hours later.
It only took them a couple of hours to clear the road? What happened? They usually start, take lunch, have a coffee break or two, etc. Wish the politicians would pass a law saying the police can’t shut down our roads for hours on end when they investigate an accident. If they can do it quickly on the mainland, they can do it here. We need a new police chief.
