Stephen and Lisa Higa have severe flood damage to their home, which sits near the Wailuku River on Maui. Lisa Higa was pulling into her driveway on Sept. 13 when the van she was driving was nearly swept away by the floodwater. Her children and mother were rescued from the roof of their house by Maui fire personnel.
