Aiea man charged with two counts of robbery

An 18-year-old man was charged this weekend with robbing two businesses within a few hours in Ewa Beach and Aiea.

Nicholas Yonemura, of Aiea, was charged Saturday night with two counts of first-degree robbery and kidnapping. His bail was set at $200,000.

Police said Yonemura entered an Ewa Beach store at about 10:45 p.m. Thursday, brandished a dangerous instrument, and demanded money and cigarettes before fleeing.

At about 1:15 a.m. Friday, he entered an Aiea business where he brandished a weapon and demanded property, police said.

He fled, but was located a short while later on Kaonohi Street and arrested as a suspect in both robberies.

    Who got kidnapped?

Put him in prison at 18 years old, so that he can get a full taste of what life will be like if he continues his life of crime. No probation, no slap on the wrist. If those who choose to try a life of crime can see what their future will hold for them, then perhaps they will see that it might be better to get job and work for living.

I’ll bet he probably has a previous criminal record and has been in trouble with the law before and this is not the first time he’s been arrested…..
