Travel lanes near the top of Kaukonahua Road between Wilikina Drive and Kamananui Road were closed for part of Monday due to filming for the upcoming movie “Midway.”
Driving scenes with period cars were done in the early morning light to re-create the timing of the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor, according to a news release from the Honolulu Film Office and the city Department of Transportation Services.
Bank of Hawaii offer emergency assistance program
Bank of Hawaii has initiated several financial assistance programs to help those affected by the recent heavy rain and flooding due to Tropical Storm Olivia.
The programs provide access to cash via special loan programs or relief on existing Bank of Hawaii loans through loan extensions or forbearances. Special program features include:
>> Low-interest rates on loans.
>> Loans with no payments for the first three months.
>> Fast approval and quick funding.
>> Reduced payments with loan terms of up to 60 months.
