Victim injured in daytime robbery attempt in Kakaako

Police are looking for three males who tried to rob a 51-year-old man Friday afternoon in Kakaako.

The victim told police the would-be bandits confronted him at about 12:50 p.m. and tried to take his backpack. A struggle ensued, during which the victim was hit on the head by a hard object, causing minor injuries, police said.

The victim was able to hold onto his backpack and his attackers ran away.

Police did not provide the exact location of the crime.
