Two hikers stranded on a trail in Mokuleia
Honolulu firefighters plan to return to a trail behind Camp Erdman in Mokuleia tomorrow morning to assist a pair of stranded hikers.
The two hikers first called for help about 7:15 p.m. yesterday, but fire rescue personnel were not able to locate them due to darkness, said Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. Gary Lum.
The hikers, who have remained in mobile phone contact with the Fire Department, will remain on the trail overnight. They did not report any injuries, Lum said.
