Bar owner arrested after allegedl pool cue assault

The female owner of a downtown bar was arrested on suspicion of assaultafter she dealt with an unruly and allegedly drunk customer by allegedly hitting him on the head with a pool cue, police said.

The 44-year-old man allegedly kicked the 59-year-old bar owner in the leg after she asked him to leave around 9:30 p.m.Saturday night, police said.

The woman then allegedly hit the man in the head with a pool cue, causing a gash on his head, police said.

Police arrested the woman for investigation of second-degree assault. Police also opened a third-degree assault investigation on the man, but did not arrest him.
