Homeless man charged with assaulting female officer in Kalihi
A 39-year-old homeless man was charged Tuesday with assaulting a police officer in Kalihi.
Santiago Mallare allegedly struck an officer 7:28 p.m. Monday while she performed her duties.
Mallare was charged with first-degree assault of a law enforcement officer. His bail was set at $15,000.
