Hawaii outside hitter Nikki Taylor (14) reacts after a point during the second set of a women’s college volleyball game between the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine and the Cal Poly Mustangs on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

Senior opposite Nikki Taylor put down 15 kills and No. 14 Hawaii gave volleyball coach Dave Shoji his 1,200th career victory tonight via a 25-11, 26-24, 25-15 sweep of Cal Poly at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The win also clinched the Big West Conference title and the automatic berth in the NCAA tournament for the Rainbow Wahine (21-5, 14-1). Hawaii ran its streaks to nine victories and 25 sets heading into Saturday’s final home match against UC Santa Barbara, also the regular-season finale.

Taylor also had five aces and was in on five of Hawaii’s 13 blocks.

Junior hitter Raeann Greisen led the Mustangs (17-9, 10-5) with 12 kills.

Congratulations coach(es), team and the fans. 1200 wins and the NCAA playoffs. Hope the arena is filled Saturday for senior night and Shoji’s last game in the center. My guess.
