Big Island police identified woman killed by car

Hawaii island police have identified a woman who was killed by a vehicle in Pahoa while possibly arguing in a roadway as Suzanne Hoverson, of Minneapolis, Minn.

Hoverson, 38, was struck Tuesday night by a 2006 Ford sedan being driven by a 40-year-old Pahoa woman, police said.

She may have been arguing with a male on Highway 130 near Launahele Road when she was hit, police said.

The driver was not hurt.

Police asked any witnesses to call officer Clarence Acob at 961-2329.
