While I totally agree with U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono that women’s voices need to be heard more, I vehemently disagree with her delivery.
Even as a longstanding conservative, I was always proud of the statesman-like manners of the late great U.S. Sens. Dan Inouye, Spark Matsunaga and the like.
Hirono, not so much.
She is fast becoming Hawaii’s poster child for bad manners. Her immature behavior is reminiscent of some junior high sophomore.
She is fracturing our erstwhile long and hard-earned Hawaii reputation for the aloha spirit. I cringe every time she steps up to the news camera.
