Power restored to 1,600 customers in Aiea

Crews of the Hawaiian Electric Co. restored power to approximately 1,600 customers in Aiea after a power outage occurred early today.

HECO spokeswoman Shannon Tangonan said the outage occurred at approximately 6:10 a.m. due to a downed pole and line near Aiea Elementary School.

Power was restored to affected customers within an hour after HECO crews switched them to another circuit.
