Johnny Rockets to open first Hawaii restaurant

Johnny Rockets, the 1950s-inspired restaurant chain known for dancing waiters, has partnered with Fun Foods LLC to bring its first restaurant to Hawaii.

Under the development agreement with Fun Foods, an affiliate of E.K. Fernandez Shows and Fun Factory Inc., the company will also open its first Johnny Rockets restaurant in Guam.

Linda Fernandez, President and CEO of Fun Factory, Inc., and Scott Fernandez, President and CEO of E. K. Fernandez Shows, Inc., expect the markets to embrace the family-friendly environment and modern Americana decor.

“We love seeing people have a good time at our properties and events and always strive to make sure our customers spend their time immersed in the happy moments that we provide,” Linda Fernandez said in a news release.

The California-based company said it will work with local franchise owners to accommodate local tastes and flavor preferences. Johnny Rockets has about 300 corporate and franchise-owned restaurants in 30 states and 16 countries.

No announcement was made on when the locations will open.
