A 25-year-old Kaneohe man was arrested after allegedly stealing property from a woman he’d just met at a Kapahulu bus stop early Friday morning.

The woman, 19, reported that she was the bus stop with the suspect, whom she had met earlier, when he took her property and fled shortly after midnight.

The man, who lists the Hina Mauka substance abuse facility as his home address, was located a few hours later by police on Date Street where he was identified and arrested.

The suspect is being held pending a charge of second-degree theft and violating probation.
