Small quakes shake Big Island
A 4.5-magnitude earthquake shook the Big Island last night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake, centered about 12 miles south of Pahoa, struck at 10:58 p.m., the agency said.
No tsunami was expected, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.
At 11:07, a magnitude 3.3 quake struck 10 miles south of Pahoa.
And at 11:34 p.m., a magnitude 3.0 quake hit 10 miles south of Pahoa.
