Hawaii County police look for man in Hilo burglary

Hawaii County police are searching for a 21-year-old Hilo man suspected of stealing in October more than $300 worth of items from a Hilo home.

Several items were taken Oct. 30 from the Haihai Street home.

Detectives investigating the burglary uncovered the identity of the alleged suspect, police said. He is described as 5-feet 5-inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The suspect is also wanted for questioning in connection with other burglaries in Waiakea Uka, police said.
