Car theft suspect arrested in Ewa Beach after foot chase

Police had to chase him down, but when they caught up with a car theft suspect, officers also found narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

The 30-year-old man was seen driving a stolen car in Ewa Beach at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

Officers arrived on scene, but the suspect fled on foot.

Pursuing officers were able to catch up with him and arrested him on suspicion of drug and auto theft after finding the narcotics.

Officers also arrested him for an outstanding warrant and driving without a license.

It is really an absurd game of cat and mouse as we capture these criminals only to let them loose after a short time only to repeat the process. And what is disturbing is that most times they get away with other crimes. We typically catch them after several offenses that go unnoticed.
