Obama picks Michigan St as men's basketball champ

WASHINGTON >> President Barack Obama is picking Michigan State to win the NCAA men's basketball championship over defending champion Louisville.

In what has become an annual March Madness tradition at the White House, Obama filled out a bracket in a segment broadcast on ESPN Wednesday.

Florida and Arizona rounded out Obama's Final Four picks. But he said the talents of Michigan State coach Tom Izzo made him pick the Spartans to go all the way.

Obama said he knows his picks aren't imaginative but expressed hope they'd help him win his pool this year. He noted that he hasn't had a lot of luck with his picks in the past.

Last year he correctly picked Louisville to play in the championship game, but wrongly said the Cardinals would lose to Indiana.

You know there is something to be said for the "other stuff" the pres does. Do we have to live our lives surrounded by worry and world problems. Cant you appreciate a little good to go along with the bad. Its true there are many problems in the world, but is it really our business. You know I hear people give him the gas for getting involved and now you want to give him the gas for not getting involved. MAKE UP YOUR MIND! In the mean time, why not enjoy a little. SHEESH>

Awesome. The Russians takeover Crymia and appear to be on the verge of invading the Ukraine and the American press is more concerned about the president's bracket.

oesnt obama have other things to tend to. Who cares who he picks. Our economy is not in a good state, his health care program is still not what he predicted and he goes to tell the country he picks MSU to win the NCAA basketball title. Its sad cause he professes he comes from Hawaii. PLEASE DO YOUR JOB
