Police opened a manslaughter case Wednesday after a 58-year-old Honolulu man died five days after a fight in Makiki.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Daniel Moon. The cause of his death is under investigation.

Police said Moon was injured by a 20-year-old man during a fight about 9:35 p.m. Friday. Moon also hit a passenger in a car during the altercation and was uncooperative with investigators at the scene, police said.

A Honolulu Emergency Medical Services spokeswoman said paramedics took Moon to the hospital in serious condition with head injuries.

Moon died at the hospital about 2 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said.

Police said no arrests have been made.
