Shinseki and Inouye to speak at ceremony
Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki and U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye will speak Sept. 2 at the USS Missouri ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II. The Kauai-born Shinseki will deliver the keynote address. Inouye, a Medal of Honor recipient, will share thoughts and memories of the war. Japan formally surrendered aboard the Missouri in Tokyo Bay on Sept. 2, 1945.
