Kids and the world of butterflies

The Keiki Explorer Club learns about the importance of butterflies at the Flutterbye Butterflies workshop at the Green House. The session on March 12, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., explores why these critters are beneficial insects and how they help plants. Keiki will also learn about the life cycle, what butterflies eat and what flowers attract them. Each child will receive a caterpillar to take home so they can see the creature transform into a butterfly. Cost is $20 for each child/adult team. Call 524-8427 or visit www.thegreenhousehawaii.com.
