Honolulu man, 31, critically hurt in moped crash
A 31-year-old Honolulu man was critically injured early this morning after he crashed his moped into a parked car on Keeaumoku Street, police said.
At about 1:30 a.m., the man was riding his moped north on Keeaumoku when he lost control just south of Kaihee Street and hit an unoccupied 2010 Toyota Rav4 SUV.
He was taken to a hospital with critical head and other injuries, police said.
Alcohol, drugs and speed may be factors in the crash, and the moped rider was not wearing a helmet, according to police.
