No. 22 Virginia downs Hawaii in women’s basketball
Hawaii sophomore forward Kamilah Jackson scored 21 points, hitting all 11 free-throw attempts, but it was not enough as the Rainbow Wahine fell to No. 22 Virginia 60-43 in a Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Classic basketball game today at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Sophomore guard Shawna-Lei Kuehu had a game-high 13 rebounds for Hawaii (1-5), losing its fifth straight.
Ataira Franklin led the Cavaliers (5-1) with 14 points and Lexie Gerson added 13.
