Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire in Laie this morning that damaged the second-floor bedroom of a home in Laie.

The incident happened at around 7:20 a.m. at a home on 55-000 block of Kamehameha Highway where 10 people live,

However, only two people were home and tried to control the blaze by using a garden hose, Capt. Terry Seelig, Honolulu Fire Department spokesman, said.

Firefighters extinguished the flames just before 7:30 a.m., Seelig said.

No injuries were reported.

A damage estimate is still being compiled.
