Freshmen Scott Squier and Kyle Dowdy combined on a four-hit shutout as Hawaii completed a doubleheader sweep of Wagner College with a 2-0 victory in the nightcap on Saturday at Les Murakami Stadium.

David Longville retired all 12 batters he faced and Max Duval delivered the Rainbows’ first home run of the season in a 6-2 win in the opener.

Squier allowed two hits over six innings with five walks and six strikeouts to get his first win in a UH uniform. Dowdy worked the final three innings, allowing two hits and striking out three to earn the save.

Pi’ikea Kitamura singled and drove in three runs in the first game for the Rainbows (5-3), who trailed 2-0 after two innings.

Senior Jesse Moore started for UH and allowed seven hits and both runs in three innings.

Stephen Ventimilia and Breland Almadova each scored twice. Collin Bennet was 0-for-2 to snap a 10-game hitting streak.
